Language Instruction

Spanish and American Sign Language instruction are incorporated within each of our programs. We believe that the context of a child’s daily surroundings, interactions and conversations is an opportunity for language instruction. That’s why our staff takes pride in implementing daily practice opportunities within their lesson plans.

Music and Movement

We have found that children thrive in a sensory enhanced environment. We offer a weekly music and movement class to every student. During each class the children learn novel songs and corresponding movements as well as musical concepts.  Children are exposed to a variety of different instruments and musical genres while often given the chance to create and perform.

Preschool Classroom

Preschoolers are progressively independent and are encouraged to explore academic regions of interest, express themselves artistically and continue to expand their social relationships.

In our preschool classroom our teachers provide captivating, open- ended literature theme based learning focused on the interests of our children.

A day in the preschooler’s class consists of:

· Circle time

· Reading books

· Creative art

· Phonics

· Self- selected play

· Music and movement

· Outdoor play

· Dramatic play

· Concentrated math, science and literacy activities

The pre-kindergarten program may be parallel in routine and style of our preschool program but the focus is elementary preparation.

As well as a solid foundation in the Literature Based Creative Curriculum, our comprehensive program is supplemented daily and our writing, reading, and math readiness program is engaging and hands- on in addition to being extremely effective.

While expanding to provide our pre- kindergarten class with an age- appropriate technology element, we encourage the children to navigate and learn the beginning skills of computer use while exposing them to relevant academic software programs.
